Join us for a an insightful discussion of country initiatives in alignment with the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI) Action Plan for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Financing, recently released.
The Action Plan
The G20 GPFI Action Plan for MSME Financing is a call to action for G20 and non-G20 countries to intensify efforts to close the MSME financing gap—estimated at 19% of GDP in emerging markets and developing economies. It encourages improvements in the enabling environment for MSME finance, expansion of debt and equity financing, and the use of financial technology. It also promotes more effective targeted financial interventions through evidence-based design and private capital mobilization. The Action Plan is intended for voluntary use by countries as a framework for policy prioritization and reform, adaptable to local contexts and firm sizes.
Implementing Partners
Prepared under the G20 Brazil Presidency by the World Bank Group (IFC and World Bank), with contributions from the OECD and the SME Finance Forum (managed by IFC), and supported by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
